RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Dr. Hemming's research interests include the investigation of protective effects of ischemic preconditioning on hepatic function during liver resection and transplantation and new methods of assessing hepatocellular reserve with respect to surgical intervention and acute liver failure. Also, Dr. Hemming is interested in predictive models for Hepatocellular carcinoma (matching therapy to disease) and clinical trials of new immunosuppressive agents in liver transplantation.
