The Vascular Biology Research Laboratories are headed by Dr. Keith Ozaki and Dr. Scott Berceli.  The laboratory spaces are located in the Malcom Randall VAMC, rooms D-121, D-123, D-124, D-125.  The laboratory was founded in 1982.

CLINICAL RESEARCH RESOURCES:

· Seven full time vascular surgery attendings performing approximately 1,700 cases per year. We screen/treat approximately 95 patients/month with documented cerebrovascular occlusive disease, 200/month with coronary artery disease, and 250/month with peripheral vascular occlusive disease. We evaluate over 100 patients/month with diabetes, and perform approximately 250 dialysis access procedures per year. Practice includes a large tertiary care University Hospital (Shands at the University of Florida) and the Malcom Randall VAMC (only facility in the entire North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System that provides vascular care).
· Four full time trained research nurses with appropriate computer/office support, designated patient care space. Complete functional clinical database in place.
· Three full time physician extenders
·  Dedicated Endovascular Operative Suite under OR/Surgery management, has State-of-the-art biplanar fixed fluoroscopy unit
